Pack Roleplay

Sakura spotted a hill and ran around it, losing the scent for a second. A moment before she picked it up again, she spotted a flash of yellow and black. "A wolf?" she thought out loud. Unusual, she thought. Remembering the dogs, she glanced around before finding them. They were on the hill. "This is why they're domestic." she said under her breath before following the wolf- .... creature.

Paddfoot kept up the pace and headed towards the commotion.

"Oh dear not even close to the border, well i think I'll have to sort those pesky doggies out..." thought Paddfoot. For some reason he despised dogs that had been reared by humans, he couldn't place why he did but he never thought too hard about it, He never came across dogs very often.

Seeing as they were all in his territory, Paddfoot knew his way round and he took various shortcuts, leading to a mound of rocks on which had a view that overlooked what was going on. Paddfoot saw the wolf running away from the dogs and Paddfoot chuckled at the dogs clumsiness. He flexed his paws and got ready to strike.

The sent of wolves suddenly collided with the dogs sent. "Wolves?" He asked himself, stopping suddenly. His eyes darted around to find them, both of them where looking at the dogs. One with a claw ready to strike.

"Oh that poor wolf, getting chased by those doggies... come closer, bring them too me..." muttered Paddfoot under his breath. Hoping that the wolf who had noticed him would come closer to inspect him or something.

Paddfoot remained on the rock, the wind starting to blow his fur. "I feel very superior up here," he said again to himself, "come here my subject,". Paddfoot smiled and started chuckling slowly.

Sakura glanced behind her at the wolf who followed her-slash-the scent. "Ooohhh-kay.." she blinked, deciding not to interupt the 'moment'. She glanced back to find the new wolf staring at her. "Hi...." she barked uncertianly.

"Ok this is getting dull." Moaned Paddfoot, "TIME TO PLAY! COME DOGGIES, DANCE WITH ME!" he barked, drawing the attention of the dogs. Paddfoot launched himself off the rocks and dashed in the direction of the dogs, "You are in Golden Creek territory. You are not welcome here and thus your lives are forfeit!"

The first dog was a long way ahead of the others and now had changed its target to Paddfoot to defend itself. However it wasn't quick enough and it got rammed to the floor by Paddfoot's shoulder. Paddfoot quickly pinned the dog down, "Haha got ya!" he giggled. Paddfoot quickly drove his teeth into the dogs neck and watched as it slowly suffocated.

Paddfoot howled in excitement before charging off into the others.

"Golden Creek.... Golden Creek pack." Sakura knew that was a name she wasn't going to forget anytime soon.
She rolled her eyes at the wolf, slightly intrigued. The wolf was running around like he actually enjoyed fighting. Like it was a game.
Like a dog.
Sakura shook her head. Fighting wasn't a game, and she knew it. She glanced around, suddenly remembering her hunger.

The second dog proved to be as clumsy as the first. Paddfoot had no trouble in grabbing the dog's neck by a quick lunge which dodged his swiping paw. However the third dog proved to be tricky. Paddfoot found that the dog forced him to stop and circle it, losing all his momentum that he had built up. He knew there weren't many more dogs but he didn't realise they had stopped to watch obviously their adversary intimidated them.

Paddfoot lunged at the dog but the dog quickly jumped out of the way. The dog then tried to bite while Paddfoot's back was turned but he was too slow, the swipe from his paw only catching the smallest bit of skin. Paddfoot then lunged again this time the dog stood still and tried to counter it, leading to some sort of stale mate. Both animals clawed at eachother drawing some blood until Paddfoot took his opportunity to overpower it and bring it to the ground.
"Unlucky..." smiled Paddfoot as he seized the neck of his opponent.

Paddfoot growled at the other two when he had finished but they both turned and ran, their tails hanging between their legs.

"A dog is no match for a wolf..." muttered Paddfoot as he turned to run back to the unknown wolves.

Sakura watched the dogs run away before spotting the wolf walking towards her-slash- the other wolf.
"Look busy, Suki." she said to herself before jumping and pretending to land on something. She quickly scented a hare and chased it away from the border, crossing it in the process.

"Ooh kay..." mutterd Paddfoot as he watched 'anonymous' run off. He then went to check on the other wolf to see if he was ok and to answer his questions.

Sakura jumped on the hare, hearing a crack on impact. "Mhm." she said approvingly, biting it's neck. The hare kicked her in the face. "Big mistake." she said as the hare stopped breathing. She immediately started eating.

The wolf watched the events from where he was standing. A small scowl twisted into his face as the one wolf looked like he was actually having fun attacking the dogs. "I can't believe he finds that amusing..." He muttered, then hearing the wolves mumble something. 'golden what?' He blinked to snap him out of his thoughts trying to now concentrate on where exactly he was.

He must have been far away from the stupid 'reserve' anyways. That much was true.

Sakura glanced back at the male. "The pack. You're not in it?" she asked, genuinely confused.
They had fewer members than she at first thought.
Gulping the last of the rabbit, she quickly buried the bones.

The males ears perked up, twitched slightly at the sound of words being directed at him. "No, I'm not. I'm from a reserve a few ways away."

"Ah. Ready to be eaten. 'Tis the way of life, I guess." she muttered, voice dripping with sarcasm.
Her tone changed, "So, whatcha doin' here?"

"Well, I would find that one obvious. I, was, or am, trying to get away from those hunters. I just happen to run into them... and knocked their food into a nearby stream while running through." He couldn't help but chuckle a little at that, he wasn't one for pranks but the look on their faces would be indeed priceless to almost any adolescent wolf. 'the look only a mother could love' he thought.

"Uh, anyways. You wouldn't happen to know... where I am exactly right? Sorry if that sounds a little dense."

"Mhm if you didn't notice the scent by now," Sakura rolled her eyes when the wolf sniffed the air, "we are, or were depending on where the borders end, in pack territory. This fella," she pointed with her tail to the wolf behind her and continued, "is in the pack also."

Riley blinked open her eyes as she came out of her little nap. She yawned and looked down at her leg, noticing the scruffy look on her fur, something had been put on it. She shook her head, her leg had always bothered her.. sort of. It was no big deal. And though the plant had help sooth the pain she knew it would return again someday. "I must not show the limp next time.." She cursed herself under her breath. She hadn't intended on worrying her pack mates, they didn't need to know.

The she-wolf stood up and shook her fur, gingerly putting weight on her bad leg. She glanced around and scented the air for any wolf scent. She sighed, "It's faint.. they must have ran off.." She grumbled to herself. She didn't feel like taking a big treck to go find them. They would eventually return. Riley began to walk off from the den, towards a large meadow farther up north. At least I can get some peace there.. She thought as she walked along, her limp barely noticable now.

Paddfoot shouted to the wolves near him that he was heading back to the den, the scratches the dog gave him were actually deeper than he first thought.
"Aahh that's irritating. Just more reason for me to hate the doggies...Even though I don't know why I hate them...why do I hate them?" he thought to himself. In a situation where Paddfoot was about to enter deep thought, an automatic response distracts him by focusing on other things. A common side effect of this is the shrugging of the shoulders and the desperation to seek anything remotely interesting by his subconsciousness. Almost as if his body was hiding something from his brain. "Oh what's that..." Paddfoot, oblivious to everything, casually stalked up a small winged insect otherwise known as a moth. Its wings were brown and it blended in well with the tree. The only reason he noticed it was that it flew on there. Paddfoot prodded it with his paw and he watched as it flew off in a random direction, constantly changing its flight path as it did. It looked so clumsy and ignorant of its surroundings which gave Paddfoot his trademark smile.

Paddfoot tended to his wounds in the den and then decided that a sip in the stream to try and clear his wounds of anything that might infect them.

Riley plopped down in the soft meadow grass. She sighed, though it was nice to have company being alone every now and then was great to. She winced as she felt her leg start to throb a bit, She growled and dismissed the slight pain. Riley flicked her ears, scanning the meadow, spotting a small elk herd not to far off. She was too tired to be bothered about being close to them, there didn't seem to be any other predators around that could scare them into a stampede. She laid her head on the ground and closed her eyes drifting into a light sleep.

Sakura walked away from the wolf after seeing no reaction. She wandered aimlessly about until she found the 'camp' if you would call it that. She wandered to where the faint scent was strongest and sat down and began to watch the world around her.

Paddfoot crawled out of the water with soaking fur. He shook himself dry and ran off around the territory and marked it. "That should stop them..." he muttered as he returned to the den.

Sakura's ear twitched as a moth landed on it. She laid down, carefully placing her head on her paws. She continued watching and listining for nothing in particular.

Damp, exhausted and mildly in pain, Paddfoot flopped onto the rock of the den. His mind had stopped a while ago and as a result, he wasn't taking in what he was seeing as if distracted by nothingness. The smooth and convieniently shaped rock settled well underneith Paddfoot's limp body and he drifted off into a quiet sleep almost instantly.

As Paddfoot snoozed a small black insect landed on his nose for a closer inspection. The gentle pitter patter of the many feet of the insect was enough for it to be violently shook off as the nose twitched and an automatic paw clumsily flew past to try and swat it.

Paddfoot made strange almost whining noises while he slept, he was obviously having a good dream.

Blackwind finally managed to get up, shaking herself off. But her leg hurt badly, and she didn't like how dirty she was. She stiffened as she smleled dogs, and then... blood. Whining, she put her tail between her legs and opened her mouth to catch the scent and where it was coming from. Her ears twitched as she analyzed it, and then she immediately began running in the opposite direction. But the scent stayed with her wherever she went, and her fur began to bristle. It was as if it was surrounding her on all sides... she didn't like that feeling. At all.

She froze as she smelled the wolves again, closer now. Her paws itched to run, but she thought that she couldn't go anywhere. It seemed as if they were all around her now...
